INTERNET SERVICES AT THE LAPLAND DEPARTMENT
LIBRARY NEW RELEASES
Welcome to the internet service of the Regional Library of Lapland, where you will find new releases of the Lapland Department. The Lapponica Collection of the Lapland Department holds information on Lapland, the North Calotte and the Arctic regions. The Lapland Department also holds the special Sámi library collection, as well as the Greenland and Inuit collection. Titles in a number of languages are acquired from around the world.
The service includes information on a hundred titles that have acquired by the Lapland Department over the past three months. The service provides numerous search options for browsing new releases. The service has a real-time connection with the Aurora database of the Lapland libraries.
This service is provided as part of the DIGMO project, which is a joint-venture project between the Arts Faculty of the University of Lapland, the Rovaniemi Art Museum and the Regional Library of Lapland. The intention of the project is to bring the culture of Lapland within public reach in digital format.
